I usually hate redubbing and I was prepared to hate the Spanish version. Surprisingly, the voices in Spanish were pretty close to the original version and, except for making Mako sound too serious and Bumi a bit too childish, I kinda liked it.

Then I don't get your point... You acknowledged that bullfighting is still practised in Mexico. You also accepted that Mexican movies have featured bullfighting in their plot and you even consider them great movies. What is so wrong about an animation movie incorporating bullfighting in its plot?

I totally get that and I agree with you - killing an animal to put up a show is barbaric. That being said, bullfighting was a very popular spectacle and up until some years ago toreros were considered heroes. Just watch some of the early Mexican cinema and you'll notice that many of those movies feature bullfighting.

You do know that the biggest bullfighting plaza in the world is in Mexico City, right? Besides, the story seems to take place in the early 1900s or late 1800s when bullfighting was more popular in Mexico.
