@colewheeler: Actually with the 3G pipe overloaded, EDGE might not be too bad in big cities. In LA for example, my iPhone 3G's speed vs. original iPhone on EDGE while browsing/loading is not that much different - half a second to a second maybe for CNN mobile home page.

There nothing turbo + AWD can't fix for an econobox. Look at Subaru. Without the AWD and the turbo, their 4 cylinder cars are pretty much crap - imagine the base Impreza with FWD only. Yikes.
