I just heard from a guy hired to do security for the debate tomorrow (Wash U in St. Louis) that he is not expected to show up. Party leaders had a meeting a few hours ago to ask him to resign. Likely replacement: Romney.

Like, a week? Two applications (it didn’t stay on all that well either—I expected it to last longer than that.) I generally have no-great nails but they had all grown out and were strong.

Essie Gel Couture ruined my nails. I thought it would be a shiny, durable, non-salon substitute for a gel mani (which I will also never get again) but it seems to have been even more destructive. My nails are coming off in layers and there are more breaks every day. It will take months for full recovery. STAY AWAY.

No, I think you’re correct. Someone may be “groomed” for stardom or “groomed” to be a trophy wife, but “well-groomed” definitely refers to clean fingernails, no rips in hosiery, no tape holding eyeglasses together : )
