Apropos of nothing, my favorite bit in the alternate-history montage in the Watchmen movie was Neil Armstrong seeing Dr. Manhattan. Given how much of the story is about humanity's unease with Dr. Manhattan's divinity (demiurgity?), seeing him appear on the moon is cruelly hilarious, as if he was saying "This landing
