I checked out all the ones people said and "Video stream" was the slickest. Works perfect no-nonsense, free, just a chrome plugin.

Had the same issues... It's your router, I had to tweak some settings on my router to get it working every time. Some routers are better than others Google (your router brand chromecast)

Which is odd when you think about it, when I got my license (before any e-checklist) I was never asked for a backup to my cardboard E6B or paper checklist, one splash of water or ill fated drop to an area under the seat an it was gone.
