The white shirt in this post?

Starred for Nawal el Saadawi. She’s amazing.

Haven’t seen it, but everyone has been saying that they don’t understand why he’s so mad about the movie. Apparently it got decent reviews, made a good amount of money considering how little it cost to make and the complaints I heard weren’t aimed at Keira.

The theories are that he either 1)had an unreciprocated crush that he’s now bitter about 2) she wasn’t reverential enough to him as a director/he has some sort of genius complex or 3) he originally wanted a different actress for the role, but the studio made him take Keira (which makes sense, she’s a pretty big name)

I don’t really like gendered dress codes (I’m very against requiring women to wear heels, they’re bad for your health). But I do think you should dress a little nicer for work. A nicer shirt, maybe add a blazer and dark wash jeans. Good enough for most office work places in my opinion.

Oh shit! Details?

Even if your cause is a just one does not mean everyone in your movement is a good person.

They’re a low profile couple and they probably know who they can really trust to tell things. Eva Mendes went so low profile that people started assuming her and Ryan Gosling broke up because no one has seen the together for a couple months

I feel like that’s the best way to do it if your a celebrity. Get married, have a baby and then after a bit, when everything is settled down, tell the media. You don’t create any type and you control when need gets out and how it gets out.

A lot of people say the name Becky is used because it’s a generic ‘white’ name, but your theory is more fun, so I’m just going to pretend Sir Mix A Lot is the leader of the Illuminati.

That is brilliant. Also add the actors who are dating ‘normal’ people that aren’t high profile or in the industry. I was thinking of Jeff Bridges, his wife was a waitress and they’ve been married for over 30 years or something like that. Same with Meryl Streep and her husband.

When I read your comment, I definitely thought of 12 Years a Slave. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyong’o (who is Kenyan, not British, but I think the point applies) play the slave roles. And Michael Fassbender (German-Irish) and Benedict Cumberbatch (British) play the roles of the slave masters, and Brad Pitt

A lot of black people find it a really annoying and sometimes offensive comment because you are essentially reducing someone to their skin color. Its a bit like calling Latinas ‘spicy’. If you don’t mean any disrespect, that should be enough for you to stay away from not using that expression. You can compliment a

I’m not sure if this is going to be an origin movie though. They already introduced T’Challa in Civil War and he’s already The Black Panther, so I hope the events are post Civil War and has more to do with how T’Challa handles the aftermath of (spoilers) his father’s assasination and Wakanda becoming involved in

Unfortunately, Storm is a mutant and Sony, not Marvel has movie rights to mutants. Though they did loan Spider-Man to Marvel, so...

I’ve been picturing her as Shuri since the movie was announced. She would be so perfect for it.

Yeah, one of my best friends was adopted and her parents weren’t that old when they had her, but since pretty much high school, both of her parents have had a lot of major health problems and it puts a lot of stress on her. I can’t imagine what a kid with parents who will be in their 80s and 90s when they’re a teen

You summed up exactly how I felt. Like if I had been in a situation and someone mentioned something like that which I had never heard before about my friend, I also would have interrupted with a ‘Wait, what!’. But I don’t think he recovered from that question very well.

I’m sure they know about Winnipeg’s social justice credentials, considering they lived there. ‘Do nothing’ is usually less about that, and more along the lines of ‘it’s a quieter, smaller city’, to put it nicely. Which is fine, I hate living in big cities, I like small and quiet, but it’s Not for everyone. Not really
