There needs to be more long term changes. Yeah, Idris Elba is a great actor who deserves a nomination, but a big issue is that mainstream movies aren’t diverse enough. People can be so unsympathetic. I grew up in a small town too. I hope she doesn’t get harassed by anyone. Small towns can get kind of mean and small minded. She probably didn’t come from a popular family in town, or they’re opinion would be different.
