Ditto, as an American who lived in Asia for many a year.

Don't worry, I was cackling like a hyena. They do dark humor so well on this show.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who *immediately* thought of the Breaking Bad dinner scene.

Great episode, but I think I laughed the absolute hardest when it dawned on me that Dan was becoming the new Gary, and then he ran into him right afterwards.

It was the "every day" that really made that for me, somehow.

"I wonder if Tom James will make him start calling himself "Reek". "

I love Oleg but I'm just never not going to be mad about Oleg/Tatiana, even though it's perfectly fair for him to move on. I just loved Nina so much. :(

It reminded me of way back when Amador died and Arkady told Nina to look into the accusations that the KGB had him. "Do we?"

Man, I just did not love this as much as everyone else did (other than the diversity joke and Andrew's pyramid scheme, which both made me choke). It was black as hell, but somehow felt a little too broad and/or obvious for me.

Agreed, I'm super disappointed by the way the fallout from Nina has apparently just vanished. I was really expecting that to become a much bigger thing.

I'm sure this wasn't on purpose, but I just did a double-take at "Betty and Don."

I mean, not that I want her to have raped him, but she effectively made him think he was raped (even if in 1980s parlance they would never call it that).

She didn't seduce Don. She drugged him and staged his rape.

I'm not sure why, but I like Richard in a way I never liked Kenneth.

It's probably terrible, but I actually laughed at that. It was perfect.

Oh please, do not tell me you are one of those fucking weirdos who obsesses over three month-old couples.

That was absolutely perfect. He was so clearly totally unused to someone neither snapping back nor dejectedly taking his shit.

Ditto. I honestly forgot Ianucci wasn't there anymore until I came to read AV Club.

What are you talking about? She's had sex once so far this season, and it was no more irresponsible than some of the shit she pulled with Andrew or Ray. She's always had questionable sexual judgment.

Actually, what impresses me about that list is the veracity of it. They're all fantastic (and *extremely* popular) restaurants. They definitely do not need the publicity.
