You know after checking out a few more vids, I'm totally digging this. I like that its 'flowy' and faster than yoga. So here's the thing, until I get some $$$ for a proper class, do you think with a solid foundation of yoga/pilates, I can get by with just watching some instructional vids? I'd love to try this out

tangent: after a quick googling, this Gyrotonic seems a lot like..well, Pilates. Even the machine looks like a ramped up version of the Reformer. I'm a huuuuuge Pilates fan girl, would it be worth looking into Gyrotonic/Gyrokinesis to change things up?

....."Do you even go to this school?"

OHGAWD. I have such a huge mega crush on CM Punk, even my husband looks like a slightly pudgier long haired version of him (I have a type). It's so bad, I tried convincing my husband to hook up with his old frat bros, who partied with Maria (CM's ex-g/f, fellow NIU alum) to see if we could, I dunno, meet CM and get

"I'm not sure why Jezebel is so venomous towards her."

and here I was thinking I was the only Giorgio fan girl.

It truly is an ever descending spiral of abdicating responsibility.

....I have a hard time believing that. ಠ_ಠ

lol, did you forget where you were? This is Jezebel, where acknowledging reality = shaming for oppressed group du jour.

ha! I got Madagascar, Somalia when I'm bloating. :D

lol I gotta say, I 'm amused by the ever increasing sins of Hugo Schwyzer. first it was irritation that a MAN was writing guest posts...then he was mainsplaining...after that he was a girlfriend beater....followed up with a wife beater....then he was a creep...then a creepy pervert...then a creepy pervert who slept

Well, that explains my husband then; leads a pretty stress free life, and he prefers thin petite women. WOW! Thanks shoddy science reporting! it all makes sense now! ಠ_ಠ

Can I just ask, what is the appeal of this book? I've tried and tried to at least feel neutral towards it...but I can't. Is there something, anything to be gleaned from it? I read it in high school-hated it. Read it in college-hated it. Read it post college-remembered how much I hated it, and didn't bother finishing

...what a terrible article. Its like, you took pre-formatted fat activist/HAES talking points, and tried to shoehorn this ad into those arguments.

Like most commeters, I was deemed "gifted" and placed in the gifted program from 7th grade onwards. Like most commeters, I also developed a complex, a shitty work ethic from coasting through a majority of schooling, and an identity crisis once I encountered a subject I actually had to study for.

Awesome, awesome, awesome, thank you everyone for these tips.

I do a full wash once a week, with shampoo, conditioner, and then post shower leave-in conditioner. Whats holding me back from rinse + conditioner everyday is that I refuse to use a blow dryer, but my hair takes AGES to dry. So I'd be going to work everyday with sopping wet hair that wouldn't completely dry until

About 4-6 weeks after I relax my hair, my natural curls reappear. However since I've been relaxing my hair for so long, the texture is more like loose waves/curls rather than tightly wound coils. It is in this time frame I really like my hair and wouldn't mind sporting it on a daily basis. Unfortunately I don't know

I dunno, that might create an event horizon of derp.
