Reading that Ronan Farrow article was heartbreaking. It’s hard to fathom anyone escaping from her situation unscathed. Not just the paparazzi, but all the graspers and false friends that surrounded her.

Exactly. Dawson sulks when he doesn’t get his way or someone breaks his illusion, Joe just murders people for letting him down. I think you could make the argument that a Dawson type never matures, he could end up like Joe, but Dawson types aren’t uncommon for teenagers.
