At this point, I’d almost rather see THEM under subpoena than anyone named Trump. Almost.

Pretty sure the gun was pleated not smocked.

PS. I didn’t get a “workers are evil” vibe from the ending, partly because Charlie wasn’t a worker. He was a terrorist pretending to be one, convincing himself he was crusading for them while murdering them for the cause.

I had a family bridal shower thrown for me by my MIL.

I would like to see the divide between married and unmarried white women. I’m betting the latter voted much bluer in 2016 and yesterday.

Oh God this is so horrible. I had preeclampsia with my third child and would definitely have died (as would my child) if I had listened to these nut jobs. Jesus. Intervention is necessary sometimes. It saves lives. This group is responsible for the deaths of any of it's members.

As I sit here in Houston with a broken heart, I think I’m done with anything remotely political. I can’t take this shit anymore. My state is populated with creatures that morally don’t qualify as bottom feeders. I’m just fcking broken, exhausted, and done. This is fcking terrible.

What strikes me as odd is how Megan Kelly tried to say blackface was okay when she was a kid. She is one year younger than me and I can say - at no point in my life, childhood to maturity, has blackface ever been acceptable.

Is this how the scary stories are being presented this year? I liked having the top 10 in one place and being able to read them. I can’t watch videos at work.

Which would also match up with the bass of Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust”, right?

I told a very condensed version of this in a comment to one of the Jez horror story posts maybe about five? years ago, so I’m officially submitting this now. Now with bonus pics.

Follow up: just now, thinking about this story, I went to look at the registry of deeds for the town I grew up in. They’ve got everything digitized now, so I was able to look up the closing paperwork for the house. There, my parents both signed, as did a notary, but the witness section?

Personally, I was surprised by how many commenters on previous coverage here didn’t seem to get this. To me, Knightley in no way seemed to be criticizing Kate, and I could not see how people made the leap to come to the conclusion that she was. My interpretation of her essay was, and continues to be, that society’s

This one isn’t mine, but my mom’s. She told it to me a few years ago, when my husband and I bought our house; it’s the story of how my parents got my childhood home.

When my husband and I got engaged, I was living with a roommate. To save money for the wedding, rather than re-upping my lease, I moved back into my childhood home. This meant my parents and grandparents (who lived there) were always keeping an eye out to be sure we weren’t fornicating.

So, being creative, young

I finally found this thread early early enough to *maybe* not be totally buried! The most intensely creepy thing that’s ever happened to me is also the most oddly beautiful.

Yassss I love this feature! That apartment one has fucked me up since the first time I read it. But not as much as the burning house evil bureau one. You guys remember that?

So bear with me with the set up, it’s important. My best friend’s father was a funeral director, as was his father and his grandfather. They’ve run the same funeral home for like 100 years. The building itself is comprised of the “old” part, built in the early 1900s and the “new” part, an addition in the 1970s. The
