What? I’ve seen a fair amount of criticism of GRRM from writers, but about more serious gripes than him taking too long to finish a book. I’m struggling to think of why any author would lob the “You’re taking too long” bomb at anyone else, even those who are able to pop out a manuscript a year. It’s not even a

Well, I mean, I’ve met people, so I know they’re all self absorbed assholes. I understand that.

I think internet commenters wildly overestimate how many people dislike the final seasons due to the internet bubble.

I think you’re overstating just how “bold” and innovative “The Mandalorian” really was. I mean, I guess the sheer act of having an SW product without any Skywalker connection (at least at first) is kinda/sort bold-ish, but only a little. It shouldn’t be that hard to imagine such a thing in a vast galaxy, but I guess

It’s amazing how many comments here have nothing to do with the article. It isn’t “Boba Fett was bad” or “the story is incoherent” it’s a well thought out critique of how they’re handling the extended universe, which is especially relevant given how franchise-heavy all our media is these days. The more I think about the Book of Boba Fett the angrier I get at it. Not because of the piss poor quality, but because I think they’ve been really unfair to Mandalorian fans.

While I know people that watch all the Star Wars shows, the universal consensus is that, while enjoying flavor of the moment status, the quality of the shows come off as aggressively okay. I just can’t be bothered to conjure interest for a brand that gets more diluted the more Disney mines from it. Boba Fett was a

wait so you want to scab, but for no money?

Hmm, sounds like some scab shit.

As someone who grew up with the books, grew up with the films there’s nothing I find less appealing than my generation’s still absurd attachment to this stuff.

Can’t I just watch a three hour movie of those first few minutes?  That was incredibly soothing.

“I actively try not to be like her, the mere thought of seeing her made me tense up, she talked a lot of shit, and it was a much more pleasant environment when she was gone for good. I love her. We don’t speak.”

Re: John Mulaney

I fully understand that exec guy was talking about this as an experiment in logistics.

That rhino’s sex kung-fu is no match for my Five Ancestors style!

I have no one to blame for this but myself.

a public announcement that should, if nothing else, throw some much-needed attention toward that often misunderstood condition.”

I think it’s bullshit that May the 4 has become a day to celebrate all things Star Wars, when it should be the day to celebrate all things Audrey Hepburn.
