Has Akihabara changed much? I haven’t been back in close to 10 years, but I’ve heard the tourism demographic has changed for Japan in general. Is it better? Worse? Same? Does Shosen Book Tower still have their adult items out in the open??

I’d almost completely forgotten about this series. And boy, Eisenbeis did not pull any punches. Was this series really that ‘not great’? I personally don’t remember anyone raving about it, apart from the rotoscope look that made it stand out.

Since it appears to be a mainly Boruto-based, will it be non-contextual fluff for the first half of the ride?

Not gonna lie, pictures like these are kind of depressing. I’ve had the privilege of snorkeling in the Philippines a few times, and it’s really hard to ignore the coral bleaching that’s affected just about every reef you run into.

I was gonna say, this is just Amagi Brilliant Park with more monsters.

Sad part: none of this surprises me, including the host’s attempt to tamp the seriousness down.

Consider me in awe of the shaky-cam tracking in that promo vid.

Not using the wrinkled face was a completely missed opportunity I think:

On true binary, anything OTHER than base is considered a bit change (say base is 0, a change is always 1). Think of it as a UPC code: even if the bars are not perfectly black or fade, the bars always indicate a change in base.

It’s like someone saw Annoying Orange and said, “Yes, that! Put THAT on a blue fuzzy not-ape/not-rodent thing! It’ll make billion!”

To be perfectly honest, I am loving THIS kind of chuckle-inducing immaturity over what I am going to call the inevitable “hate speech/symbols” levels.

I recently did some kitchen plumbing repair/upkeep, and that looks exactly like something I pulled out of the P trap. Like, DEAD ON what it looked like (a mix of black grease and beef fat solids).

I think the problem is Bashcraft assumed we all knew how fandoms run rampant in Japan.

Plot twist: these are sanctioned products and do well enough that Gabe never moves ahead with Valve games.

This man has some clear, deep-rooted issues and death threats are obviously not the right way to deal with it, but I feel like this is only really just a symptom of a larger problem.

OK please don’t do this to me. If you can’t tell by my avatar I’m all about the R-Type. It continues to sadden me that nothing like it has come out in decades. So joking about a new R-Type is more like torture instead of a tease.

You are correct and more accurate, but the Emperor of Japan is such a loose and culturally confined role that there’s no real modern equivalent to compare to; hence akin to the Pope, but not even really.

Primarily figurehead, like Queen Elizabeth, when it comes to politics and government.

I appreciate them going ahead with the slight ‘betrayal’ of a 6 Button layout. I still have ‘endearing’ memories of having to press Start in order to switch to Kicks for Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition.

Such a strange feeling how literal the ‘close’ of a gaming generation has become; first Reggie retiring and now Kaz. Which is unnerving because I’ve never felt so uncertain about the future of gaming. With the way the top-tier publishers are behaving it feels like we’re quite due for another crash.
