Back during the election, when Elizabeth Warren’s campaign was melting down, Sessler flamed a woman who (very politely) said that she was hoping that Bernie would gain traction because she’d just gone into mountains of medical debt after her husband died of cancer and didn’t feel like Warren’s pushes for socialized

That’s debatable on your favorite host being fine. Most were good people, and then there’s Adam Sessler. Guy has more issues than Gamepro, Nintendo Power, and EGM combined.

My dude in that list of critical and commercial successes you included God Hand. Reviewers fucking hated God Hand when it was released to the point that Shinji Mikami is still bitter about the game's low metacritic score

I was expecting the worst and that clip was somehow even worse than I imagined. Holy shit. Its almost like whoever was the showrunner/head writer was obsessed with the comedy central roasts of that era, and thought whatever they wrote was the funniest shit imaginable.

“And then we nuked them.” Oooooooofff.

Yeahhhh that’s pretty bad, and totally what I would expect from G4 in 2006-2010ish. wondering what those two are doing career-wise nowadays.

Now playing

I don’t get the people saying that it was of its time, in a way it was, but a lot of this was pretty racist even for the time. See:

As someone who was an adult in 2006 I can assure you that saying stuff like this was gross back then too.

Most video game animation uses AI to do inbetweens and other dynamic animations already, which are then fine-tuned after. I think Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was one of the games that really pushed the technology forward. It exists, and depending on the quality of the animation you want, it can be super helpful,

At least you acknowledge that it will make artists obsolete.  Why you think it’s a good thing is beyond me.

Less-labor intensive? The purpose isn’t to make art easier, it’s to steal their work altogether and push them away - which they are already doing. Making their labor obsolete is just another pro-corporate convenience.

Oh, did I say that? I meant “steal from passionate creators who built their own skills and call it your own work”, hence the “War on Artists - because they’re ‘privileged’”.

Told you that these corporate/tech bro shills are trying to turn creative human labor obsolete through AI. There’s a reason they’re trying to criminalize artists in general - they’re forcing an ‘easy’ and ‘ethical’ narrative that benefits only them. For instance, they call artist “privileged” because they built their

I mean, I guess it’s cool that the game has inclusive characters, but the money from it is going to be used to fund hate campaigns, so who cares? Having a trans character in a game doesn’t make up for that.

Not to mention that JKR already got paid

Is there actual bullying? I wouldn’t know. I do know that every example I’ve seen has been a polite request for people not to play the game and the response to that polite request can get so outsized and overwrought that people just assume bullying is secretly happening because they think no one could be that

The frustrating (and entirely expected) thing is that most of the backlash I’ve seen is as simple as “I am disappointed to see someone playing this game,” only for it to be framed as bullying and harassment.

This has been all of the dialogue on Reddit/Twitter/even here on certain threads ever since the first person was “bullied” for playing the game on twitch. Whether or not the “bullying” was genuinely cruel or not, astroturfed or not, or even actually present in a quantity or not, every conversation now starts with

“If

I decided to click on the trending tab and take a look at this for myself for some ungodly reason, and holy shit, the amount of people who were “calling for war” as they put it, against trans folks over this and literally hoping people would kill themselves over the harassment was *insane*. It was the most brain
