Soooo Anna can afford to go to Iceland and take pictures, but she can’t afford to get something to her Kickstarter backer OR afford a hard drive to store images on that won’t fall apart when it hits the floor?

Interesting.

This isn’t about your boner.

not to be rude but nothing impressive about them. there are other articles about cosplayers on Kotaku that i find more impressive

Don’t get me wrong I love Megan Marie I’ve long follwed her on Instagram/Twitter and remember when she was at Game Informer, my issue with her and others is that while their Cosplay is great and beautiful it’s also so professional that it lacks charm also she me be a journalist/CM but she clearly could be a model,

I’ll go against the grain and say that I’m kinda meh on much of this, tbh. Hopefully I don’t get torched too badly for admitting it.

Some of the photography is fantastic, but others not so much due to the costumes distracting rather than adding to the setting.

You know, for all the computer effects they’ve got whizzing around, I’m more impressed by the practical stuff they slide in everywhere, smashing everything up.

The first thing that popped into my head when I first heard the news.

I would try to defend myself, but, honestly, you’re not wrong. I didn’t exactly take the high road, but, also, I feel no guilt. One of my absolute biggest pet peeves is that particular kind of “You’re enjoying it wrong! YOU’RE RUINING EVERYTHING!!!” Attitude, which is especially prevalent in the gaming community,

lol @ thinking the modeling industry doesn’t use tons of photoshop

I can’t seem to decide what particular flavor of killjoy/shitbird/asshat you are. Like, what’s the cause of your, seemingly unwarranted, shitting all over professional cosplayers? (or apparently any higher quality cosplayer in general)?

There’s a direct comment from her in the Kickstarter comments:

Looks like she was apologizing to the backers in the comment thread. This has the smell of a pretty good article...

I find it hilarious that people like you are salty about other people putting in the extra work to try and make their cosplay look better. Cosplay is at the fundemental level dressing up to represent a certain character, whether its amateur or professional.

“that the outfit looks computer generated kinda defies the effect”
Keyword: looks

I find it hilarious some people feel the need to talk down to or make fun of cosplayers who simply have the desire to take as good a photo of their outfits as possible.

Isn’t this the same person who collected over $13,000 for a cosplay kickstarter and never delivered any rewards?
