You fail to mention the most important factor of all - Fox News and the rise of right-wing media.

Right-wing media has normalized and popularized everything from conspiracy theories and outright lies, to racial resentment and scape-goating, to distrust of legitimate journalism and the concept of “mainstream media”

This is one of the stupidest articles and arguments I have run across in recent memory. I can’t see that it has a point, other than a certain dullish snark and vapid complaining.

Whenever people use the “that’s how I was raised” excuse for racism, I like to point out that I was raised Catholic, but haven’t been one for 45 years. I never get a sudden, irresistible urge to say the Rosary or genuflect.

Houston’s is a chain, BTW. There are 51 of them in 13 states. These are not franchises, they are all owned by the same company. So boycott one, boycott all.

Even if the young ladies were somewhat in the wrong, I do not believe for a minute that 3 white women would have been treated the same way under the circumstances.

It’s time to pass a law creating a process to divorce your race like when people under 18 go to court to become emancipated from their parents. When filling out mandatory forms, we could just write “formerly white.”

Irreconcilable differences right here.

So you’ve looked at the methodolgy of each one of them? And you are trained in research methods and statistics?

I believe in polling but there is a range of quality in polling, like with everything else. Harvard Harris is not a high quality poll.

Bernie Sanders is not the most popular politician in America, even if a crappy online poll keeps saying he is. It would be more accurate to say “the man who the Harvard Harris (online poll) says is the most popular politician in the US.” A recently released poll of Democrats in New Hampshire showed Sanders coming in

I used to be a child abuse investigator. A hokey story like that, blaming a 2 year old for those injuries would not only not be believed, but create a very bad attitude in the investigators/cops/ prosecutor - everybody. Better not to have an explanation at all than a bogus one blaming a child obviously too young to do

My name’s not Greg but I can leave in a pretty big huff if I want to.

I can see Tucker bonding with her future fellow inmates over makeup tips.

Someone needs to say it. It IS OK for diapers to be white.

That’s your prerogative. If you think unjustified hate and conspiracy theories regarding people of a particular religion and/or ethnic background are acceptable, I won’t try to change your mind. But it’s one thing for you to claim them - another for any organization to present itself as representing all members of a

Back in the day, and I was alive then, before the 24/7 news cycle, the story about the resource officer “stopping” the shooter would never have been reported as fact, and reiterated over and over until everybody believed it to be true, until it was well and truly verified. I miss those days.

Questionable judgment 101- First supporting Bernie Sanders, then saying he thinks Nina Turner should be president (instead of Oprah Winfrey) and now, letting himself be used by the NRA (apparently without realizing it). I’ve been giving Mike a pass cuz I like Run the Jewels. But he done run out of mulligans.

Look at the state I live in, West Virginia - 97% white. They can’t even handle when white people from other states move in. How they gonna handle it if non-white people from virtually anywhere move in?

You mean other than the murder of Malcolm X?

If this were the only example of Anti-Semitism or other non-Kosher (forgive the pun) positions that have been connected with the Women’s March or one of the 4 so-called “organizers” (they took the event over from some Hillary Clinton supporters and then left Hillary off their list of 77 “women who paved the way”) then

If there’s an afterlife Sigmund Freud is feeling pretty vindicated about now.

That’s an app idea if ever I heard one.
