I'm right there with everyone else thinking it's a tank of water. In the scene before the tank, Will is fighting a fish in a chinese rural area. Since I sort of vaguely remember MIB turning ethnic stereotypes into aliens, I would assume an alien sushi chef cooking up a giant alien fish would be my best bet.
