Battle System critique is fair, it’s not for everyone.

Die hard Pokemon fan here. Even for me SM were a slog to get through. The only reason I bought the Ultra Versions was so that I could complete my living Pokedex. Otherwise, SM/USUM are my absolute least favourite games in the series

I dunno, I don’t find the game has much replayability. I 100% the game when I got it (all stars/costumes) and that’s been about it. I put it down and haven’t touched it since. I just have no desire to go back (unlike Mario 64 which I replay all the time)
