BOOM! Since 2001; I've had these through easily a half-dozen builds, and I'll ride them to their bitter sonic end...

I played organized TFC from it's release for about 6 years, from 1999 to 2005 (TF2 really did annihilate that community...) There were two major "schisms" that shook the community; the first was a giant game-changing patch around '02, but the biggest "Dah fuq...?" moment was when Valve announced that if folks wanted

Aww, Yannick, "you got told!" No fair trying to "tell" him back... just take your medicine!

Clearly, he has a case of them.

Overlooked comment is overlooked, but well played.

This is the only figure that matters, AND I've got it. NYAH.

This is a subject that sort of fascinates me; so many people waste so much time and energy making the effort to say "I don't like the thing being discussed", as if anyone cares. Seriously, why did you bother? That's just negative energy, create some positive vibes by pursuing those things that *DO* interest you, and

I made an Unreal map back in the day... (revel in my '98 HTML skizillz!) The party piece was a recreation of the altar room from The 5th Element!

I read a ton 'o gaming mags back in the day (and probably still have most of them,) and lordy did they promise the moon on that one. It was easily one of the top hyped games of 97-98, and it ended up on the cover of every gaming magazine at least once.

I like these sorts of games, until I hit "the wall" and just drop them completely... that said, I only played parts of the first Pushmo- until I quit due to frustration- but thoroughly enjoyed it. I was never interested in "Pushmo World" though, until this. May have to waste some more dollah bills.

Looks like sumfin these two would frow tuh-gehvah.

Gonna reply here just so I can find this post down the road- I have two copies of the DS-10 that I haven't touched in a while, but yeah, KAOSS is a blast!

Vedder's a good example, though similarly, his distinct tones define the Pearl Jam "sound" in the same way MM defines the Doobies, but I could see where it could be quite distracting if he were to add backing tracks to, for example, a Psy song...

Oy, now that you mention it, I'd say they were meant for one another, stylistically.

I'll allow it.

That "sui generis" voice is, to me, one of the most grating noises in American pop culture. While it definitely defined the Doobie Brothers- and it's fine in that context- It is SO distinct that it cannot be "un-noticed" when he's caterwauling around with his peers. Best (worst) example is his dissonant,

"Here's the secret hyperbole Youtube producers don't want you to know about!"
