the story itself is pretty fascinating, having only peripherally heard of Kaceytron, but the tone of the article veers on hero worship at times.. Its an empowering story through the right lens, just.. maybe, it doesn’t have to be rose-tinted? As she said, the sexist part of the community is going to react to the story

While I do generally agree with you, the more I read this, the more you’ve convinced me that this is mostly an American issue. That the root of the issue is that if your main culture (whites?) have a history of abusing a minority (Blacks or Native Americans for instance), (ab)using their image in pop culture just

I’m always conflicted whenever ‘review-bombing’ comes up..
There’s almost an undercurrent of blame (at least to my ears) in the sense of the review bombs not being /real/ reviews. Not as legitimate as real reviews. That review-bombing subverts the actual score the game deserves.. as if it were a concerted attack

Perhaps its easier to impersonate a reclusive fan-modder.. 3 years, damn...
On the other hand, wasn’t there a fake prince who just got jailed/accused a couple of months ago? Made Pamela Anderson a Countess or something, atleast 3 years ago, so what do I know @_@

Think you might have gone and confused yourself there,
Original BoI was Ed and Florian.
Tyrone is the founder of Nicalis.
Rebirth etc. was developed by Nicalis with direction from Ed.

Being reminded again that this is how America (and I guess the rest of the Western World?) operates, kinda blew my mind and bummed me out a bit. (Being in the design field)

Read that as For Prime Ministers Only :p

Read that as For Prime Ministers Only :p

How is this still a thing.. I mean, the payout to the voice actors/actress’ can’t be more than the damage being done to these products, as well as the PR hit, right?..

Been noticing for a while now.. but why doesn’t Kotaku always provide a link to where you can buy the game in these sorts of articles? Whether through Steam or the official site.. nada.. :/

The longer I read this story, the more convinced I am that we are in the Kamen Rider timeline and sickness masks are just the first evolution towards full on Kamen masks o.o

The header/graph kinda blows my mind of the almost exponential growth, year-by-year, of the number of games releasing (technically on steam, but also in general)

except, after crunching the numbers, the same header could have been used for every year since greenlight opened the floodgates (thats 3 years)
going from this

Is that what 4k looks like? hot damn.. :P

I’ve only played as Mei once, but my friend plays her as his default character and its always a blast to have a competent Mei who can play even on Attack maps. Slowing and isolating players for the easy kills XD
Enemy Meis are Pharah/Junkrat fodder for me :P

Someone did a cool breakdown (though their sample size was a bit low (500 boxes)
On average it was 1 legendary item for every 10 boxes (dry spells lasting a maximum 24-25 boxes)
And 1000 gold collected on average every 29 boxes (enought to buy the legendary skin you actually want)

I don’t get it, doesn’t everyone already play like this in the arcades? blind and x12? well, in Asia anyways :P

Any kind of top-down approach of fill-by-numbers ‘fixing’ diversity is inherently horrifying to me.
The long-term answer is to equalize the barriers barring woman in the industry and let nature run its course in allocating woman throughout the workforce as well as in to positions of power/influence naturally. If the

This is a pretty cool step on Youtube’s account, but the language in the first half of this article is just bizarre.. I get that the legal landscape is a veritable minefield for Youtube, but the way its written, its as if Youtube wasn’t involved in implementing the damned system in the first place.

Its nice that

Wasn’t that just their video editor though? not an actual actress?
