Check out tomshardware.com. they have great write ups and every month put out a list of price to performace comparisons as well as giving you best gfx card or cpu for specific price ranges. also, you will end up paying for your PC with the money you save on games compared to consoles.

I run my pc into 47" lcd with low response time and use as my monitor. I do want to get a 1440p monitor though. I dont know too much about plasmas but i thinknyou would maybe have to worry about screen burn with a pc on a plasma. Might not be an issue at all. The titan is single gpu. Titan z might be dual, but regular titan is not. Titan z costs 1500 i think. The recommended specs are gtx 780. Cards that are better..... Gtx 780ti, gtx 980, maybe 970 but not sure, titan, titan black, titan z and gtx 690. not sure where you got your info, but it is incorrect.
