Not quite... for instance, they can’t go ahead and say “we have a brand new announcement” and show something announced earlier in the week. About seven other smaller titled were announced, which would have been maybe two minutes of the direct. Mostly, it will be odd because those games are open knowledge now. 

An HD port of a low-settings version of a game on the same console as the original... seems legit.

Maybe there was a FFXV port to be announced in the direct, but the reason we’re seeing this and not that is that that port only involved the Switch and thus was flexible, whereas this game was a multiplat?
