The road to Monteverde in Costa Rica is similarly frightening—and it's unpaved for miles. My GF was driving and I can't say I've ever been more terrified in a vehicle. I remember straddling cliffs to avoid trucks barreling down on us.

@Sapper54: That is an excellent question.

@Sapper54: Hey Cooter! Why would any of them city-dwellin homosexuals buy a compact BMW for the price of a Coupe DeVille?!? I jus' don get it.

A photo from a local electric contractor. Yes, that's a worker in a sling installing a street light fixture.

Formerly being from the neighborhood of Woz I can confirm he drives a Hummer with some sort of satellite dome on top. He's not that green.

@Nieros: I dont have kids, but friends do. And they all have monstrous SUV's that they swear they need. You have to figure in strollers, luggage, and eventually bringing a kid's friend or two with you once in a while which probably rules out a sedan.

@Ben Wojdyla: that X308 is a beautiful car. Not sure I could keep up with the maintenance though.

I seem to be completely missing the point.

Electrical gremlins? Sounds like a good weekend project.

I wonder what they mean by "work out a deal?" Auction price + $300 fees?

So I take it we can bid on any future cars this dealership lists, not pay, and leave them with the $50 Ebay fee?

I once saw this on a Geo with major front end damage.

@Wunno Sev: a RWD prelude would have the drifters and enthusiasts lined up. I'm not saying it was a bad car—it's just that FWD is only so much fun. I should know, I drive a 270HP front wheel drive that isn't half as fun as it should be to drive.

@Wunno Sev: Front wheel drive killed the Prelude.

@Coreboy: OK, excuse the mouthy. I just think people who come into these threads to say "DUDE MY FRIENDS 1992 ALTIMA GETS 600HP on NoX AND BEAT A VIPER!!1!" are misguided and should take a step back and appreciate the fact not everyone wants a car designed to go as fast as possible for as little as possible.

@SerialThriller: Yeah, I'm sure I am in the minority here. I'd prefer AWD and quality over big HP.
