Oh so you just literally have no idea what’s going there, never mind, you aren’t worth discussing this with.

The military general who spearheaded the Katrina response is on the record as saying we have less than half the military personnel and resources on the ground/available in Puerto Rico than experience has very clearly showed us we need.
“And, as with Katrina, it is quite the humanitarian crisis. And, as with Katrina, it’s getting blown out of proportion.”
Yes, because the military can only get supplies into and people out of places with ports and infrastructure... If only we had spent 100's of billions of dollars over there years providing experience doing such things...
I’m advocating for additional support from our military which consumes half of our discretionary budget. They aren’t built for it, but there are Americans dying and suffering on the ground right now. They can get an airfield setup in a war zone in 48 hours but we can’t get an airport up and running in a week?
The Jones Act is terrible. It’s a major reason that Puerto Rico is bankrupt. The island could be a major shipping and trading hub, but it’s precluded from earning a living. Then what is supposed to drive its economy? Tourism alone isn’t enough.
I dunno about universally better. It’s definitely better for typing on smartphones, but the constant fingerprints all over my screen make me wish we’d found a better way. It’s definitely inferior for gaming.
I know there is a BRZ with Diplomatic plates at the Japanese Consulate near my office
One of the best things I’ve ever seen in my life was a Bentley Arnage parked in a handicapped spot in the public garage at the Battery with four boots on it, one on each wheel.
ZMF’s “Ownage/Not Ownage” binary rating system works for me.
I remember when this trailer came on, and everyone in the theater lost their fucking minds. The rest of the movie turned out to be pretty good, too.
I hate bank heists. They’re gritty and violent and it gets everywhere.
Could be other reasons. I rode with a co-worker once to get lunch and she was one of the worst drivers I’ve ever ridden with. But what stands out the most in my memory, and why I’m talking about it here, is that she overreacted to a car that drifted near our lane so badly that we almost crashed- she jammed the breaks…
Me and a buddy just spent nearly 40 hours straight driving from New York to California and back to New York on…
My family got our first cat this way. He was hit by a truck as a kitten. My mom saw it, rushed out, grabbed him up and ran him to the vet. Many broken bones (especially his hind-end), but he lived through it without even losing any limbs. We adopted our little Faux Paw and he lived to the ripe old age of, like, 3 or…
I hope that poster at least reported it to police - that’s a sick SOB to just throw live kittens into traffic.
This was one of the most digusting things I’ve read.I felt awful after that one.
For me, 4 light taps is pretty much equal to 1 reverse smack, I call it a fair trade off.
