lol uh I already took a form of world religion in public high school . It was a Civics course and half the course we learned about political systems and the second half the major religions (Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, etc) and yes, even Atheism. It was an elective, but I'm glad I took the course because

Oh my god. It is 100% relevant to teach about the religions that have shaped the world. It is social science. It is not indoctrination to just learn about something - about its characteristics and existence.

You do not teach religion in schools. Point. Period. Blank.

This seems like a classic example of a diaspora being stuck in a time-warp - i.e. the 'motherland' moves on progressively with it's value system while the values of the diaspora remains stagnant, in an attempt to hold on to their 'culture'. Being LGBT is no issue in Dublin where people have evolved leaps and bounds

And thus proving my point...

Or the people hijacking the thread to discuss male circumcision.

Cue the cultural relativists showing up swinging out of the woodwork. :)

Possibly an unpopular opinion but I feel like Katy Perry has gotten better over her last 3 albums and Lady Gaga has gotten worse.

It is amusing to me that Lady Gaga does not view her music as pop music. Is she more evolved than Katy Perry? No. Same pop, different sound.

I knew it! I just knew it... Kelly Clarkston is a black dude.

That literally made me lol

Oh, good call. Shirley Jackson. The Lottery … precursor to The Hunger Games. She was so far ahead of her time in so many ways.

Excuse me, but they were Spice Girls Chupa Chups, not Spice Girls brand lollipops.

We are Russian.

Dude...

Here's an article about death, immortality and that space in between and all I can think of is how the heck your mother decided that explaining how some clothes have to given away is the time to drop the "You know, everyone is going to die," bomb on her kids.

When I see the phrase "Celebrity Mom" I assume it's a story about a celebrity who is a mom using their fame to endorse or decry something about raising kids. See, Jenny McCarthy and vaccines, or Mayim Bialik and attachment parenting.

Jonah Hill's mom was so freaking funny. Love her! LOL

Yea... One of my friends just came out with "Why does Family Feud always have one white family and one black family?"
a) not ALWAYS

I pretty much just implied that. I see the person spying on me becoming like the nope, nope, nope octopus.

No arrests because, let me guess, no audio recordings? Someone was recording me years ago and the police basically told me to fuck off since I couldn't prove whether or not there was audio recording.
