No—and you're lucky to be sheltered and naive enough not to have recognized that right away. But the people in this comments section arguing with addicts and drug counselors that this is probably some rare medical condition that exactly resembles a heroin high (instead of, y'know, the obvious explanation), and the

If you've ever seen one junkie, you've seen them all. I'm sure the cop had seen plenty of them, and also a fair number of sick people, and could spot the difference from a mile away. We casual observers might not know, but cops living in a big city? Oh, hell yeah, they know!

believe me, she is "nodding out", it's NOT a seizure or anything. if she wants to waste her life doing that it's her business, but she has children and that's makes it a whole other story. thid video made me furious; at her and everyone watching. if she'll get on a public bus like this, can you imagine what must go on

What also drives me bananas is how these people are waaaay more concerned about the slim possibility this woman may have a rare medical condition that exactly resembles a heroin high, than the much greater possibility that an 8-year-old CHILD is her addict mother's primary caregiver. Like, who gives a crap about the

This "QUICK! MAKE AN EXCUSE!" response drives me bananas. This chick has likely had more than enough excuses made for her.

Thank you. These people are fucking nuts. Yeah, it "could be" anything—hey, maybe ghosts are possessing her body—but it sure as hell looks like a heroin nod. Also, the way the child is reacting makes it obvious she's used to caring for her mother in a strung out state, and that is beyond sad.

I don't know what addicts you know, but the ones I know that use heroin act exactly like this. The term "heroin chic" comes from the fact that heroin makes you look emaciated and it's a term that's used ironically/degradingly in regards to the way models used to look in the nineties. You should check your stereotypes

I've never known a heroin addict that looked "chic" at all, but maybe i hung out with the wrong ones. This is exactly what they look like, unfortunately. If u google heroin nod, you'll find many videos of confirmation.

Knowing the route that they are on (Bus 66) - there is no doubt that this lady was strung out. This shit happens all the time on these buses in Northeast Philly and no one thinks twice about this kind of behavior. And honestly, when you see young moms screaming at their children to "shut the fuck up" or else they are

Ah, a non addict who KNOWS addicts and throws out the heroin chic term.

C'mon. Really? Smh. I am 99 percent sure she was on a heroin/opiate nod out. I'd bet 1,000 bucks on it if there were vegas odds.

Now playing

Omg! That could be a SEIZURE! That could be NARCOLEPSY! She doesn't look like a heroin addict!

I'm an RN with more experience with this than I often care to recall. This isn't a seizure, it isn't a diabetic low or high, it's a strung-out asshole.

I thought the same thing, until I watched it and saw the woman's movements and facial expressions. It's either illness or drugs, and either one should probably be looked at.

As someone who lives downtown in a huge city and takes public transport I can tell you that this certainly looks like a heroin high and that it is most likely not some other condition.

You're not an asshole, but she's not having a seizures. People having a seizure that bad sort of mentally check out. She responded to her kid verbally. I don't know what strung out people look like, but I have known people who were prone to seizures, and this is not that.

I take the train everyday and ride the bus pretty frequently. I can assure you that people take public transportation strung out all the time.
Sometimes it's scary, it's usually just very sad.

Two points;

I'm a little worried you're trolling and I shouldn't respond, but I'm going for it. I've been to tons of comedy nights that feature only male comedians, and not one with more women than men. Even if the lineup was predominately women, it would be no different than all the nights that are disproportionately weighted
