and loads of things can fail and not be sexist.

I think Joss was referring specifically to comic book films.

Yep the characters were the best thing but the universe was only so-so.
The politics was the worst thing though. So black and white, generic evil authority yawn. The worst thing is that in the main series, literally everybody who works for them is totally irredeemable which jars with Joss's usual shades of grey style.

But that applies to about 75% of his characters; he's right up there with George R. R. Martin in ruthlessness.

Radiant Historia was a bit like that; one main choice that gave you two timelines, but from then on you would only either be able to continue or get a special game over detailing how you failed.

General Grievous is a title given to him by the space press I believe. His true name is the typical syllable jumble of sci-fi aliens.

An interesting theory I heard was that the stormtroopers in the original films have had orders to let them get out and fly away to the rebel base with the plans so Moffat and Darth Vader can follow them with the death star and nuke the place.

Or not shooting that escape pod at the start of episode IV when it clearly could have had droids on it. They're just 30 years out of a war where droids were the primary combatants, why not just shoot the damn thing.

"Oh no not again, I just had you fixed".

It's probably some sort of anti-puzzle bias talking, but this game seems really hipster-ish.

More like Steins;Game.

Yeah, all those teenagers! Like in Deus Ex, Human Revolution - oh wait. Angsty Adult. Hmm.

Yet in the original FFVII he still managed to be pretty cool, before he got advent childrened and turned into a soppy idiot.

Seems more of a Steins;Gate thing to me. Teenagers wasting time and turning it back? The only thing it's missing is a wonderfully-over-the-top-yet-human protagonist. You know, the thing that made sure Steins;Gate was never pretentious. .

The Legend of Korra.

The only children's show I watched that came out last year had a woman exploding her own head and story arcs involving anarchists and PTSD.

1. The Stranger vs. Luo Lang (Sword of the Stranger)

Starkiller is probably the translated name of the god of OP self-insert characters.

It's sort of like regular tv and cinema. 60-70% rubbish, the rest is either good or really good.
