On the subject of Firefly (which I really like by the way); does anyone else think it's maybe a little over-hyped? It had some weaknesses for me (I was never sold on River or Inara) and I felt that there weren't enough good Federation guys to make the conflict more interesting. Everyone in universe just sort of

I thought this was just another "Great Job Internet" posts but wow…

Of all the women to play Han Solo, why, why, why can't you find one with more roguish charm - or any charm at all?

I keep seeing that book everywhere.

Family structures are so massively different now to then that the wealth won't last in meaningful amounts more than a few generations - too many divorces, or people not having kids and what have you.

That doesn't help either.

Jinn are roughly analogous to Christian Cherubim, and Islamic angels are analogous to Christian Seraphim.

Yep. I mean Draco

This episode was so fantastically good-hearted. The Highlights were the Kent's acceptance of Martian Manhunter (and his good deeds) and of course, the ultimate villain/hero unlikely circumstances teem up.

And of course, the seminal work of Western wuxia, Kung Fu Panda.

The shot with the doctor telling them the news is absolutely gut wrenching.

It captures life so well without being insincere, or criticizing them for putting each other above backpacking.

Wouldn't want to traumatize the kids now would we!
