im lifting 2.5” at the same time as everything else. i want it to be a truly dual purpose rig

i have an xj. the stock springs are just too damn soft. im making a rear bastard pack and putting zj upcountry v8 coils up front. already have a wj sway bar. jeeps can be made to handle really well if you do a lil leg work

that truck would suit my driving style perfectly, and it would be dead nuts perfect for hauling ass on pa backraods at obsene speeds.

some times, dumb ass kids just do em to make their cars look cool...after owning a car that was legitimatley thrashed enough ot have to be held together like that...if they wanna drive a car that loooks like a bag of dicks, let em...my new drift car is gonna stay pretty for a lil while, its not a rotten out mazda with

daily drive a jeep with no sway bars and blwon out shocks, and youll think your mustang was a rolls royce in the ride quilty department.

except the lj was a tj...this is a jk...so its a jk...

you had my attention...until ride by wire and ABS...a motorcycle is supposed to give you the feeling of near death every time you ride it.

im looking at the wj sknuckle swap, which upgrades the brakes and steering as well. the zj never came with a 8.25, but the kj (liberty) did. im more interested in the front spirngs from a v8 upcountry zj, and the t-case skid and fuel tank skid from an up country. xj’s have more parts that im more inclined to use

i think youll like where im going with my build....

iwas like 18 when i did it in mine...who am i kidding, i do it in my new one (its a 99, which i consider to be a ‘new’ car

i almost rolled my first one...it was then i learned that you have to make sure the front end has some weight on it before trying to move weight off hte rear.

ever see a yj wrangler on 31’s drift around a round about? jeeps are fucking awesome to teach people proper weight transfer, because you can SEE the transfer happen, let alone feel it. im convinced a xj cherokee is the best DD for someone who needs a utiliy vehilce, but has a weekend track toy.

i wish i could have found a xj with a ax15, but no such luck. i was gonna just put some axles from an auto under it and call it a day

ive seen em brake from 35’s, locked..but that was also re-geared and had a snail on the side of the 4.0

a 8.25 wont grenade on a 24hr trip. i ran a welded diff iin my miata for like 2 years, and the diff was fine...it was the stock cv shaft that were breaking, and only when it was just slightly wet out, pulling away from a dead stop like a normla human being. a 27 spline 8.25 will probaby break, but a 29 spline like the

fucking mustang!

do et! your wife just gave you permission to mod hte car, take advantage of it!

this makes me very happy indeed

depends on how much you love the car. i litterally just put hte engine back in my camaro, and now it has a massive top end noise thats probably a failed lifter. im going to fix it. the miatas fuse block just melted a few wires and has a short in the ecu circut. i knw i could fix it easy, but im parting the car out
