Obviously this is anecdotal, not scientific, but I have noticed that I almost always wake up in the middle of the night and am awake for anywhere from 30 min to a couple hours... this has been my normal sleep pattern for years.

I just watched that episode too! I watched the series religiously back when it was on, but I'm re-watching on Netflix, and it's still sooo good.

Apparently I dream like a man. Still pretty sure I'm a woman, but I will say that the most horrifying nightmares I have had (that, yes, ended with me waking up in a state of panic) were about spiders, not about relationships. I've also had the pursuit ones, in fact I had a recurring pursuit nightmare for years.
