This is completely wrong. North America is supposed to be dark blue and we were totally kidding about “Austrailasia.” That’s not a thing -and it was supposed to be salmon. This is why we can’t have nice charts.

And somehow still passed calculus! Fun times.

S/he said, to the audience of a technology / opinion blog.

How much do you know about making weapons? You realize that you don’t need a 3D printer to finish your own manufacturing of a non-registered firearm, right? With machinery that’s been around for 100 years or more? What are you doing talking about firearms without any credible exposure?

HA! You win the internets, today, Sir.

If only the article were actually about the technology. It’s not. The author is just terrified on the internet for 15 minutes and then returns to life as usual and probably won’t think about this again for three weeks until it’s mentioned in another political debate

The answer to your question answering another question is you. You are. As I am and all my friends and neighbors that I trust, including the police.

Haven’t seen Platypus on here in a while. Maybe it’s me...

Hahaha damn dude... I hope there’s a lift at the end of the tunnel. Glad somebody is using the arrow keys. Also have a hard time imagining graphic designers working directly from a laptop for the majority of work. Big screen? External keyboard (since you mention using a mouse)?

Sounds like someone already removed the ignorance. All I’d need is arrow keys.

So holding the Fn key wouldn't make it exceedingly fast anymore? Used to have this on my first laptop from like 17 years ago.

You should really get some wireless arrows for “spreadsheet time”. Then decent keyboards won't be neutered by a tiny shift key on one side or something equally annoying.

And then do graphic designers get mad when nobody ever notices they spend 3 hours pushing individual pixels around?

I own a MBPr for many reasons, one of the most popular being a giant, flat coaster in my bed to place my snacks. Seriously tho, That’s it. I’m typing this on my iPad which has no arrow keys and it’s going just fine. Why would a graphic designer use arrow keys over a mouse?

Can we please get rid of the arrow keys on the laptop keyboard already? It’s like, the biggest fucking hassle, it seems, for every manufacturer to design around those four stupid things. Personally, I use those arrow keys on my MBPr approximately never. /r

Dear, John Drake. I don’t blame you wanting to see evidence. That’s why there are graduate engineering programs and test laboratories and case studies. Nobody expects you to know everything. In a different response I’d referenced the Fire Protection Engineering Handbook - it’s kind of long but you might want to start

Burnnn. Punnnn.

Main reason why we use steel columns and beams is because we are afforded more load-bearing strength. Definitely not because of fire. Although wood is combustible it actually tends to perform better in fire. But nobody blames you for being scientifically misguided.

I bet you fail to see a lot of actual things.

Structural steel members are built primarily on a static load, not dynamic. They aren’t designed to “catch” the weight of several stories, even a single story from falling. We don’t design commercial buildings to protect against acts of terrorism. If every building was a fortress we wouldn’t be able to practically
