Thank you for your well-reasoned comment. This is not a simple issue, as some commenters seem to believe. Athletics is the ONE area where we can’t just go, “Well, she says she’s a woman, so she can compete with women” without thinking it through and establishing rules.

I think this is really a matter of consumers being (justifiably) reluctant to try new mascaras and more prone to sticking with their tried-and-true favorites. Mascara is still extremely popular.
