Yeah, it was pretty jarring.

Yes, this bugged me so much.

I was just going to post this. Loved that movie. It was the first time I became aware of Eva Green.

I agree. I haven't even read the classics these characters are taken from, but this show has made me want to go out and buy them and start. I have also never seen Treadaway in anything else. At least I don't think I have.

"Also, I do think he had good qualities and he can be kind, I just think he is, at the core, more driven by his arrogance and the need to prove how brilliant he is."

Oops, just seeing this comment now after posting the same thing. I concur.

Yeah, and he threw the empty water skin AWAY into the desert when he finished drinking the last of it! I laughed out loud. What if they came across an unexpected source of water? Super smart, Wolfman. Maybe they had two, but still.

Just wanted to pop in to say hello while I eat my popcorn and read the comments. You lot are some clever sumsabitches. It's fun reading. (not just on the Got threads, but also on other shows I watch and then come here for the aftermath.) Carry on….
Oh, Lady Stoneheart Truther here btw. Woohoo!

It immediately made me think of her doll self from last season.

Hi all, I am fairly new to this site, though I have been lurking for about a year. I thought this was a really beautiful episode. I never knew this sort of thing was called a "bottle episode" until reading the comments just now. I was thinking that it was very similar to the "Fly" episode in Breaking Bad.

I also thought he was specifically telling her about the trepanning they were going to do, not a lobotomy. That term was never used.

Didn't they show "Clare" come in and take away the chamber pot under her bed? I thought he came in to empty it, maybe even twice.

My main thought on that whole scene was the smell. How it must have smelled. *runs off to dry heave*
And that it was so long.

This is exactly what I was thinking during that scene.

I am not sure if this was already mentioned here in the comments, but I heard Mandrill's "Fencewalk" during a scene with Lester.

Hello everyone. First time commenter, longtime lurker. Just came here to say that I agree. I let out a big sigh when he came on again.
