Fire Emblem: Three Houses continues to rule my life (in a good way). I’m on chapter 18 of 22 and with the three day weekend I hope to finish it off. I hope to squeeze in some Overwatch as well since I’ve got the itch again.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses has me by the balls and I don’t intend on asking it to let go. The recent hubbub over the new Apex Legends character has me thinking about diving back into that for the first time in forever, too.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses!  I picked this up last weekend and even though I’m only four hours in, I need more.  Blue Lions 4 lyfe.

Nex Machina and Resogun are two of the most fun arcade-style games I’ve ever played.  Here’s hoping Housemarque kills it with whatever is next.

I’ve been playing A Hat In Time lately and its just been delightful. The usual 3D platformer camera wonkiness aside, the game has been bright, lighthearted fun (except for the haunted house level, which was great in a different way). I’m hoping to finish that up this weekend. If I do, I’m thinking about doubling down…

No love for the Ouya?

Skatebird is something I didn’t know existed until an hour ago and now I need it SO BADLY.

Roguelikes don’t usually do it for me, but a roguelike that makes other games?  Yeah I’m there.

HELL. YES. Vanquish is a fantastic game and I’d absolutely play it again.

Yeah, I’m firmly in the non-issue camp here.  Plenty of games show you the ghosts of failed runs.  Super Meat Boy and N++ just to name a few.

The trailer for the next Destiny season lit my fire again, so I’ll probably shake off a little rust there this weekend.  I also hope to start Indivisible.

First off, let me join the chorus of people hoping that Kotaku doesn’t follow Deadspin into the great beyond. This is one of the few sites I go to directly on a daily basis that isn’t Reddit. Losing Kotaku would be devastating.

I’d be perfectly content watching two hours of previews (although I said I wouldn’t pay for this privilege).

There are too many video games that I want to play releasing over the next few months.  How do you prioritize in the busy fall through holiday release season?

This seems to be the norm with Tokyo RPG factory -- JRPGs that look and at least slightly feel like ones of old but don’t have the meat and bones behind them.

You should be able to allow ads to display on certain sites with most if not all ad blockers.  I allow ads on Deadspin/Kotaku/i09/etc. for that reason.

The third book, Hero of Ages, is an *excellent* finish to the series.  If you were unimpressed with the first two but still interested in the characters and/or world, I’d say give it a chance.
