I’ve been hoping for a Diablo movie for years now. The story of Diablo 1 lends itself pretty well to an action/horror flick — a town in ruin with demons just below the surface, follow three lead actors portraying the three classes from the game, boom.

Swapping heroes mid-game is a crucial mechanic of the whole game. If you’re getting screwed by something, swap out and counter what’s screwing you. Maybe the opponent will swap out and you’ll have to respond. I love that you can’t be pigeonholed into a shitty team comp.

Being tossed through the door by this behemoth after every other enemy was at most 50% taller than you was a hell of an opening. One of my only negatives with the campaign is that the first boss fight isn’t until you’re through 75% of the game. They were all so good that I wish they were sprinkled in more liberally.

Figuring out the farm situation at the end of the game must have been a nightmare.
