There are also NO CHECKPOINTS while at Mother Base. If you spend 2 hours smacking everyone around, gathering diamonds, and completing side missions...only to fall to your death when you pivot the wrong way on a pipe...yeah, all that progress is gone. It can be quite infuriating.
