Misogyny is powerful. People constantly underestimate it. Everyone would rather pretend we live in some egalitarian paradise because that’s easier than accepting the truth and actually changing things.

As scared as I am for what Trump means for the future for little girls, I’m equally scared for what will happen when a new generation of boys grow up believing that this kind of gross behavior is a viable path to success and respect.

My cousin who supports Trump has said things about women’s appearances that is similar to what Trump has said. My feeling is a lot of men who support Trump say and think the same things Trump does about women.
