Probably to avoid Steam reviews AND refunds
Probably to avoid Steam reviews AND refunds
For at least the initial beta and release period (the beta kicks off in October), there’ll be one more launcher you’ll need to keep track of.
They’ve been pushing the Creation Club for a long time, and have made statements that indicate they’re likely going with paid (or as they call them ‘premium’) mods moving forward, while treating unauthorized mods as illegal tampering with game files (which they can do under US intellectual property laws).
I don’t think steam is really a hindrance if they want a more closed eco-system.
I’m getting a bit tired of having to register for Yet Another Service every time I turn around. That’s part of why I haven’t bothered with Creation Club, even once I learned that they have ‘free’ mods every so often. And why I don’t have GoG & GMG (and others) alongside my Steam, Origin, Ubisoft, and Blizzard…
If memory serves me correctly, they made the game with the “I’m a Fighter” tagline, less overtly fanservice physics to try get people to take it seriously.
Then it didn’t sell like they expected and they told their developers to unleash the kraken and started selling $80 DLC packs full of fanservice.
Anyone who actually believe the sexiness wont come back and that the gane is gonna be super serious this time doesnt remember when they pulled this exact same shit back when DOA5 was first released
scumbag move? 30% for doing nothing sounds pretty scumbag to me, now a product is actually big enough to give them the middle finger
Do they sell a smaller vest that I can put on my penis?
This would be all well and good if consumers had proper digital rights and if DRM didn’t abuse those rights that aren’t properly protected yet.
Unpopular Opinion: If the game is shit, people aren’t going to spend good money on it. If you want people to buy your games instead of pirating it, make them good games. That way, you don’t have to add in DRM.
Durrrrrrr....
I feel like this is the kind of the stuff that will eventually sell me on the game. Despite being in love with the visuals and music, I am holding off on purchasing because of the story and narrative execution issues.
Some people are going to be upset it wasn’t anything official, but this is exactly what I expected and wanted - it also shows that we’ve all been right all along... Fillion is the perfect live action Nate Drake!
$2100
See this is what will ultimately make me decide to not pick up the game, and what some games journalism outlets (not this one) were incorrectly assuming about the game. I definitely read in multiple places - again, not on kotaku - that the characters’ storylines would converge and collectively become part of a larger…
I’m really not looking forward to having to grind multiple characters. That’s the most annoying thing in any RPG.
Sounds like a chore more than fluid storytelling.
Dude...go for a walk or something...
Chapters 5-8 remove it from "top 20 JRPG" contention.
Ni No Kuni? Really? It's pretty, but other then that.....
