I had an ‘87 Taurus that needed replacement of nearly every major piece at least once (the transmission took the Ford dealer three tries to get it repaired correctly). This almost seems to be misleading the buying public. I’m neither swayed by “action footage” of a car nor impressed by the “professional driver on a closed course” tag but I think that if they’re selling something, the actual thing should be what is shown in the ad and not a cgi impression of it.

As much as I loved driving my ‘01 Jetta Tdi, I hated the expense of mechanical repairs. Injector pumps cost around the same price as this car and even with the fuel savings, this car will be a money pit.

I think the time has come for our politicians to reverse course. We need to apologize to the NRA, gun manufacturers, ammunition companies et al for stopping the sales of “weapons of war” to the public.
