Your trip sounds a bit like any trip in my RV. Uphill or any head wind and it maxes out at 45 but it has the luxury of getting 11 - 16 mpg. That’s what I get for owning a Toyota powered RV but it runs like a top and we’ve taken across the country 3 times.

After the axle fiasco and recall, Toyota would never re-enter this market in the US. The RV manufacturers built these things right to the max GVW and the first dual wheel units had a modified axle that was prone to failure.
