Lyndon LaRouche 2012, Is that who we're supposed to vote for?

If I was given $12500, I might be willing to own this car. For me to pay for it, no chance that will happen.

The crash test picture needs to be captioned. "Sad bus is sad" would be my vote. And, Captcha sucks!

I'd imagine that the cost of manufacturing is relatively low as the tooling was probably paid for many years ago. It seems to be a good seller with brand recognition on it's side.

I saw the picture and immediately thought the same thing!

Looks great. The engine and transmission should be good for a long life. Just go easy on the throttle when driving thru the small towns in AZ and NV. They like to post very low speeds in town.

Gee, let's see. Last night I was trying to get my long parked Roadmaster started. Right after I got it running it had a bit of a backfire and the resulting fire melted part of the air cleaner housing.

Tom, I've enjoyed your postings from the Cape. You had some big shoes to fill and I think you did a fine job. Best of wishes for the future!

When I bought my '93 Roadmaster wagon, I was getting 22 mpg on the hwy. Loaded for vacation and 5 passengers, 22 highway mpg with a 5.7 v8 powered, body on frame full sized car. Now GM is marketing 8 passenger "crossovers" and smaller sedans that are getting equal or marginally better mileage. I would have thought

Body shop...or was it Photoshop!

Crazy money for this car but I think that it is a good looking wagon. I would be hard pressed to justify springing for the $12k pricetag, though.

I agree. His writings made me anticipate the next story to come our way.

This is sad news for us readers and good news for you Peter. I always enjoyed reading a different perspective on the car culture. The ideas and insights you've given have kept me anticipating your next article.

Interesting but not my cup of tea. I am not keen on chopped tops. The car does have the right look for the rockabilly scene, though.

We're making lists, so here's mine:

I have exactly one paid magazine subscription. Autoweek. I don't know how but my wife has a way of signing me up for free subscriptions because I work in the "industry" of auto repair.

I would like to have a New Honda Civic Wagovan. 6 speed manual trans, 4 wheel drive and spoke wheels. Yes, please.

Ok. I say, "Bring it on!" Toyota has "Kaizen" which is "good change." We need a good change in what we read about new cars. Objective words with a clear meaning.

Vanagon, now as van is gone.

I saw a bumper sticker on a Dodge Durango this afternoon. "If you cannot Dodge it, Ram it." I would never have guessed that the phrase would come in handy later in the day.
