A great list! I have to agree on the points listed and their reasons for being chosen. We all have our reasons to hate the tech creeping into our cars. There are too many ways to be distracted in our cars.

I agree with the average Joe (Joes) idea. Many of our commenting brethren & sistren (is that really a word?) have insightful, meaningful ideas that are conveyed clearly to the masses.
Hey Davey, you know that you need to keep this truck from evil. If you buy it, you would be assured a place in the promised land.
I don't mind the daytime running lights. You can see the oncoming vehicles on Nevada's 2 lane highways from a long distance away.
I second the motion. Especially if they're the ususal poorly focused type that blinds you as you approach.
One of the things I miss most on my Roadmaster Wagon was the auto dimming mirror. I can understand not needing one in the Jeep but the Roadmaster was low enough that many trucks would shine the lights right inside. I never had to mess with the mirror.
Sometimes it isn't the nanny state technology that needs to be eliminated but rather the d-bag, a-hole driver that needs to be eliminated.
I would go for this before I'd consider the Caprice from yesterday. Interior color choices on the car are a bit odd but not that bad. I'd give it a NP.
Dragoning in the worst way. Sounds like a personal choice that I will not expound on.
Amen, BROTHER! Ol' Ralph really got everyone knickers in a twist over that one. Little did we know at the time that many cars of the era were as bad or worse in handling. He just wanted to get famous. To his credit, I guess that part worked, and the beloved (much maligned) Corvair faded away.
Or the "once you go synthetic, you should never go back to dino oil" bit. What is a synthetic blend? Half dino and half synthetic. So, where's the problem?
Son, you don't want to flash you lights at the car coming toward you with their highbeams on because that is just a signal to the gangmembers. You will be shot if you flash the lights.
My mom (born in 1938) learned to drive on a "stick." Either her dad or step-dad taught her to drive on a VW Beetle. When she received her license, it was duly noted on her Massachusetts license that she could drive a stick. You had to choose which type of car you would drive, manual or auto transmission. If you…
I am not a fan of "donk" mobiles. I appreciate the b body sedan and wagon but I feel that they're best left without the need for a lift kit. The mileage doesn't really scare me aside from the likely need to freshen the front end. but anything north of $4k for a high mileage Caprice is far too much.
Yes, Please! I will doubt the MPG claims but the car is worth the money. Love me some more Roadmaster!
I think the Imperial Palace Casino's Auto Collection started the program to restore their museum's cars. I remember seeing something about this many years ago in the newspapers.
You guessed it by my screenname. NP all the way.
I would guess that my Jetta TDi has less ground clearance than that Jeep. I cracked the oil pan on a dirt road.
Also missing: surrey topped and door-less Volare/Aspen wagons from Fantasy Island. Kinda like a doubleshot of Jalop Ricardo Montalban.
