Nice price! Wonder if they'll trade a handful of my old Matchbox cars for this AMC?
When the cost of the repair exceeds the value of the car is the best answer I can give today. Automatic transmission in a 2001 Jetta TDI. Worth it? It is less to repair it than to replace the car.
I agree. A person shouldn't put their wallet ahead of a car.
I don't know enough about this one. My heart says CP.
The 8/8/2011 issue of "Autoweek" did a thing about the worst "collectible cars" based on return on investment.
Great choice. If someone didn't mention this, I would have!
Um. That would indeed be a rare find!
Too much in my book, CP. It makes me think of a spoiled brat rich guy I used to work for.
I like it. Price is ok, too. Only a handful imported. Classic looks. Parts bin componentry. NP
Sounds plausible. The stillborn Interceptor would have been a nice replacement for the Panther but we don't deserve such nice things. Not that I will be in the market for a new car anytime soon.
I'd suggest my '01 Jetta TDI. 90 screaming horses connected to a 4 speed auto box. Handling is great and nice torque curve. The only reason I'm not suggesting it......is......that it did what a VW does naturally. It needed a $2000 repair and it is in the shop for it's annual wallet draining transmission repair.
Very nice! My dad bought an 850 coupe in the 70's. Never did anything to it because it had too much rust and it went away. Ah, memories.
Even if they stuck the "only" 300 hp V6 in it and sold it for $30k it would be intriguing.
6th gear: Holy crap! Why do they not offer that here? Stunningly attractive car, impressive performance. A bit too expensive but still WOW!
Aside from the awful wheels it looks pretty well executed. I would be executed if I were to buy this. For the correct buyer (I am not the correct buyer and a huge percentage of the world wouldn't be the correct buyer.) it would be NP.
