I felt sadder the longer I watched it.
God, this whole thing was more just sad than amusing or entertaining. Sad sack guy yelling out ‘I’m sorry’ in broken English, the wife going “no mercy” (lady, come on), then the cops throwing him around all over an Amazon package? Yeah, I know, his responsibility and choice to steal, but just a bleak, sad scene all…
Cops dont give a shit about cyclists or pedestrians example infinity.
It means one of the good ol’ boys in blue thought that running over cyclists wasn’t no crime, and decided to do as much as they could to deep six the whole thing right from the start.
I find the police chief’s inconsistency a bit puzzling. Because if he’s really all for accountability, then the notion that hey, they “counseled” the sergeant who couldn’t be bothered to leave a message with the on-call DA and that this would be dealt with “internally” doesn’t really cut it, no?
Hot damn, this was really a cleverly disguised ad for laundry detergent in general, wasn’t it?
He meant to roll coal. If his stupidity resulted in someone getting seriously hurt, he needs to pay the price. His parents obviously put the idea in his head, and allowed him to drive a huge truck. While kids are not known for making good choices to begin with, this goes beyond “I didn’t mean to”. For example, a bank…
Didn’t mean to hit them and run them over, definitely meant to harm them physically and emotionally. Also definitely meant to do it with an illegally modified vehicle. Hopefully it’s a stern lesson.
What you have to understand about Conservatism is at its core, it is about preserving an in-group protected by the law but not bound by it, and an out-group bound by the law but not protected by it.
These cops sure as hell seem to rally behind “cop safety” when it means violating citizens’ human rights, racial profiling, and funding, but when it comes to something as simple as a free vaccination: “Nope, we couldn’t possibly do that!”
Do Republicans not ride road bikes? I wasn’t aware that cycling falls along party lines. I’m legit interested.
Super small peepee
You seem shocked that people would roll coal at people on bikes. I’m pretty sure that’s the whole reason that modification to trucks was invented. I’ve seen more trucks rolling coal on a bike, than I have in a car, quite honestly.
Although, I am not a pacifist, I wish I could star this several times. When anyone disregards other lives so callously, they should lose all rights of their own for 20 minutes chained to a chair where surviving victims or decedent’s families can do whatever they want to them—want to yell, fine, want to skin them…
This kid needs a baseball bat to the knees.
Running over bicyclists in trucks in Texas, even when the cyclist dies, isn’t really prosecuted all that much. There was a case a couple years back where someone in a work truck doing like 75 in a 50 was playing with his phone and literally steamrollered a cyclist on the shoulder. No murder charges, no manslaughter…
Texas is a failed state. I’m sooo incredibly sick of these fucking idiots being allowed to pull this shit. ENOUGH. To bad he was allowed to walk away from the scene.
Huh no arrest or charges probably be the child of a cop in the area.
Where do you live that you can get anything in the world brought to you in the middle of the night through a huge traffic jam in less than 45 minutes?
