Why not both? We have had chip + pin along with Tap for many years (5+?) In Canada. Anything under $100 you tap, anything over you have to use the chip and pin.

I did read it, there was no transfer of material, there was a rotor that was no long round, they were intact warped.

As someone who has machined my rotors myself a few times over the years, I can tell you with 100% certainty that warping a rotor is in fact, a thing.
