I have a 3 with SkyActiv and always understood it as 13:1 (Canada). Could they not also just beef the crap out of it and add low level boost? Yes I know that would raise costs, but I just can't see it being impossible to do. Smart, probably not, but a few PSI could do wonders! Or just lower the compression a bit.
