I've been using aliases on my own email server for 12 years now. Virtually this is the ultimate antispam solution. If I start receiving spam I would know 100% exactly where it originated from (not saying I'd know where it came from), because every contact was given unique address (usually with their name in it, like

@esteorivepot: Hardware and software can be recovered/replaced. I'd rather loose the hardware, then the life when my identity stolen...

Is that something like "put all eggs in one basket"?

@ernie.: a tracking software can't protect from identity theft - that's is my biggest concern.
