Recently, with winter weather, many local places have added Fireball to sangria drinks, with fair results. It’s not mulled wine, it’s not usually something I’d really call sangria, but it’s a better use for Fireball than many others. Certainly better than drinking it as a straight shot.

My wife is about to be discharged from the hospital, and to rehab, then home - with terminal cancer. “Hygge” seems a lot like our plan of action at this point, except not so much outdoorsy stuff. Although she’ll want some of that.

So, one person’s peanut butter got in another person’s... chocolate?

Our house will mostly be desired by builders/flippers. Everything is outdated, some major systems need work or replacement. The structure is good, the location is great (walking distance to a good school, 10 minute bike ride or 30 minute walk to the beach, lots of upscale shops), and the lot is roughly double the size

My very cynical thought - what if those shims, as a last minute rush order, cost more than one cent each? Would you buy them, or get a few hundred/thousand dollars worth of pennies?

Can’t believe no one has mentioned “Death by Snu Snu” yet

Would also be great if Amazon’s search function wasn’t deliberately limited to increase cross-sales potential.

I hit a puddle driving home from work after a night shift. Windshield was clear, but ice cold still obviously, since the water from the puddle I hit instantly froze as it splashed on the windshield, and obscured my entire view. Fortunately all I hit was a mailbox; it could’ve been much worse.

Emergency Department, I believe

Very interesting. Now let me tell you about Sweden...

And take away their phones, tablets, etc. for the night... ?

Hmm. We’re moving soon. I could probably fill a standard UPS truck with stuff I don’t want that’s still useful.
