in all of the wide shots there seems to be someone always by a control box which I am assuming has a deadman switch. So any operation of the shredder requires a two-man job, and therefore a level of security and accident reduction.

Ok..as I understand it "nibbles" is a mythical gremlin within the gawker corp. that eats photos and links that people try posting. recently nibbles has been getting quite moody and seems to be eating a lot of comments. that is why there are so many references to him/it.
