Yeh. I mean I get people’s points about homologation specials but the Ford GT is in another league and didn’t even meet homologation. Its unlike every other car in the GTE class. Then sandbagging all season to avoid an accurate BOP... any other team doing that would “peeve” me just the same.

That’s the part that gets me. If i had the money, i could buy any one of the cars in the GTE class EXCEPT the Ford GT. It’s an homologation special and as awesome as those are in the world of road cars, they’re little more than a way for race teams to subvert the rules.

if anyone questions wether Ford calculated their performance just to stay meet the 107% rule from LMP2 to be legit GTE here’s the numbers: the winning GT was only 0.2 from the limit. The other GT’s, trying to catch up I presume, fail the 107% of LMP2 performance rule... Oddly?!?

Ford did not meet GTE requirements... read the rules. They were allowed to race due to the good graces of the other GTE teams. They then sandbagged all season to not receive an accurate BOP. If Ford and other teams for that matter don’t like BOP or the 7% rule, which existed before they entered the class, then they

My thoughts exactly. Ford obviously sandbagging during test day to gain a BoP advantage. ACO I think was in on the whole thing, hence the weight break before the test day happened.

Stef are you seeing these penalties and complaints between Ford / Ferrari?
